Sacred Pricing: How Soulpreneurs Can Achieve Reciprocity, Purpose & Profit

Updated: 21 hours ago

"In this 'always on' world so many keepers, healers, mystics, visionaries, and artists have been expected to operate as business people and contort their true nature at the cost of their energy and the potency of their gifts. Spend too much time producing and outputting, and eventually the well runs dry.We need to find sustainable ways to let talented, sensitive souls be who they are without having to perform, force output, manage people or water down the transmission to make it more palatable."
Rebecca Campbell
Across my career I have grown increasingly resentful. I have given so much but my salary stayed the same, even as costs of living skyrocket.
Then I realized that the freedom I crave may be a desire for a better exchange of my energy: a deeper respect for my time, effort, and expertise. I simply want to feel aligned with how I spend my energy and what I receive in return—to build a life that reflects my truth and fulfills my soul.
Deep down I understood that money can’t buy peace or purpose. What I am ultimately longing for is sacred reciprocity: waking up knowing I have a choice in how my day unfolds.
Your offers are a sacred energy exchange, a holy agreement which keeps the flow of Chi and abundance moving in all directions and honors both the giver and the receiver.
At the end of the day, when pricing aligns with both energetic resonance and real-world sustainability, the exchange becomes something deeper than a transaction. It becomes a type of sacred commerce, bigger than the material world.
Pricing is not just math. It’s also psychology, symbolism, and frequency.
Sacred reciprocity is the natural cycle of giving and receiving rather than depletion. Flow with the energy of balance.
Reclaiming Your Power
For too long, women have been taught that "being good" requires self-sacrifice and self-denial. Many of us choose a false sense of safety—the path of predictability, comfort, and familiarity, and being underpaid or unpaid.
But the reality is that our time, energy, knowledge, care, and expertise have extreme value, and receiving fair compensation allows that work to remain sustainable. Our medicine is sacred and deserves respect and reciprocity.
If your soul is calling for something deeper, older, wiser.- you are not alone. So many of us are ready to explore a different way of "working"—one rooted in intuition, embodiment, and truth:
We are ready to seen in oour fullness: leader, mystic, healer, disruptor, CEO. We are on the edge of your own expansion, and what’s being asked of you now is sacred courage:
Tell the truth, even when it challenges the rules.
Reclaim the parts of yourself that never belonged in patriarchal systems.
Take up space and lead from your inner knowing.
Check-In for Healers
Ask yourself honestly:
Do I feel guilt or shame when I receive money for my work?
Where did I learn that receiving is wrong?
Would I pay another healer fairly for this same care?
What stories, values, or beliefs have I inherited around self-sacrifice and worth?
What would change in my life if I felt truly safe to receive?
Reflection for Clients & Community
Ask yourself:
Do I expect healing, emotional labor, or spiritual wisdom to be free or cheap?
Where did I learn to value credentials and status over embodied or traditional wisdom?
Have I ever questioned a medical bill while hesitating to pay a traditional healer fairly?
Do I seek healers only in a crisis, or do I support their work and long-term sustainability?
Do I participate in healing work in ways that are reciprocal rather than exploitative or extractive?
Instead of viewing your business as a purely transactional funnel, frame it as a relational journey (curiosity → connection → commitment → transformation) while encouraging clear offers, natural progression, accessibility, and appropriate boundaries.
Nothing is truly free. Everything costs something—your time, focus, attention, breath. It’s all energy. Every yes you give is a silent transaction of your life force.
The Old Ways
Before capitalism, the seers, prophets, and healers were supported in their material needs (food, clothing, shelter) by the very tribe they served. In these indigenous and ancestral lineages, healing wasnt commodified. It was rooted in sacred reciprocity, responsibly, community care, spiritual duty.
Like the relationship between bees and flowers, healthy exchange nourishes both sides; giving while continually denying your own needs leads to depletion rather than sustainable service.
If you are regularly acting out of alignment- engaging with people or activities that bring resentment or displeasure, your vital life force will be depleted. And there are no awards for martyrdom.
Your Sacred Offerings
Your offerings create an opportunity for a healthy, balanced, and reciprocal exchange of energy between you and your clients or customers.
When you offer something of value—your time, skill, effort, wisdom, teaching, healing, or guidance—you also allow yourself to receive something of value in return: money, resources, another service, support, or something else meaningful to you.
When the exchange feels supportive on both sides, it can strengthen connection, trust, and the potential for transformation.
When giving and receiving become chronically imbalanced, both sides can experience strain. The goal is not to keep score, but to create relationships that are sustainable, respectful, and mutually supportive.
Receiving isn't the opposite of service; fair exchange can be what makes service sustainable.
The Simple Framework for Sacred Pricing
Most business advice treats pricing as a purely logical exercise: Calculate your costs. Check competitor rates. Pick a number.
But for many soulpreneurs, healers, and spiritually aligned entrepreneurs, pricing has another dimension entirely: ENERGY.
When setting your prices, consider three dimensions:
1. Energetic Resonance
Does the number itself align with the purpose of the offer?
2. Sustainability
What price allows you to show up fully energized and supported?
Value & Transformation
What real change does this offer create?
“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”
Warren Buffett
Numbers Carry Frequency
Across many spiritual traditions, numbers are believed to carry symbolic meaning and energetic qualities. Fields like Numerology and Sacred Geometry suggest that numbers influence how humans perceive meaning and patterns.
Whether someone consciously believes in numerology or not, numbers still affect perception psychologically.
A price can feel:
harmonious
abundant
grounded
activating
or slightly “off”
When someone instantly feels that a price is right—or wrong—it’s often more than logic. It’s the emotional and symbolic resonance of the number itself.
For soulpreneurs who work with energy, transformation, or spiritual growth, this layer of meaning can be intentionally woven into pricing decisions.
The number you choose for your offer becomes the first message to resonate or not—often before anything else on your sales page.
Reminder: Money has always spoken the feminine language of water, of nature, of balance - not extraction and oppression. The word salary comes from the Roman word for salt. The word currency from the Latin currerr, to flow. Bank from the Italian banca, or riverbank. Credit from credere, to trust. Capital from caput, head of cattle. Wealth from old egnlish weal, or well.
Sacred Pricing
Many spiritually aligned entrepreneurs choose numbers that carry symbolic meaning across cultures and traditions. Below are some commonly used numbers and the energy they tend to represent.
9 or 99 — Amplified Completion
In retail psychology, prices ending in 9 are often used as a subtle manipulation tactic (for example, $99 instead of $100).
But there can be a deeper symbolic layer.
In numerology, 9 represents completion, fulfillment, culmination, universal cycles, fulfillment
When used intentionally rather than manipulatively, a 9-ending price can signal:
closure
mastery
integration
Any price can be reduced to a single digit by adding its digits together.
Examples:
$81→ 8 + 1 = 9
$108 → 1 + 0 + 8 = 9
$297 → 2 + 9 + 7 = 18 → 1 + 8 = 9
$333 → 3 + 3 + 3 = 9
$144 → 1 + 4 + 4 = 9
Many high-converting offers unintentionally reduce to 9, which may help explain their sense of completeness.
Sacred Alignment & Intention
81 is 9² (nine squared)—which symbolically amplifies that energy.
The number 108 appears repeatedly in spiritual traditions worldwide:
108 beads on a meditation mala
108 sacred texts or names in certain traditions
108 astronomical ratios between the Earth, Sun, and Moon
In right relationship and integrity, I give with an open heart, receive in gratitude, and trust that the universe always balances the scales.
888 — Abundance and Infinite Flow
The number 888 is widely associated with wealth and prosperity.
In Chinese numerology, eight is considered the luckiest number because it sounds similar to the word for prosperity.
The shape of the number also resembles the infinity symbol (∞).
For this reason, $888 or $8,888 is often used for:
abundance coaching
business mentorship
financial transformation programs
When the numbers 8 or 9 is used in pricing the message becomes: growth is infinite, and nothing is missing.
Sacred pricing quietly communicates: This work goes beyond the ordinary.
Sustainable & Sacred
Energetic alignment is powerful. But the real math matters too.
If your pricing does not support your vitality and livelihood, then what's the point?
Many spiritual entrepreneurs struggle with pricing because of deeply ingrained beliefs about money, generosity, and service. You may hear phrases like:
"I offer tiered pricing to create greater accessibility for you and our community.Pay what you can by choosing the amount that feels most appropriate for your circumstances and financial situation."
Generosity is beautiful. But chronic underpricing is not generosity—it’s self-sabotage.
If healers cannot sustain themselves financially, their work and identity eventually disappears.
After all, you need pricing that is sustainable and allows you to:
cover taxes and other annual business expenses
weather slow seasons
invest in future growth
save for travel and selfcare
maintain energetic work/life balance
Don't discredit your years of professional training and intuitive development. You are worthy of receiving. Because when practitioners are properly supported, they can do better work, with even more presence, energy, and integrity.
Healthy businesses combine healthy energetic resonance with a healthy profit margin.
Reminder: The world does not benefit from burned-out, underpaid healers. The world needs healers who are well fed and well funded, resourced and regulated.
Value-Based Pricing
Many entrepreneurs price their services based on time or tasks. But most clients aren’t paying for hours—they’re paying for transformation in their business, or life.
They’re investing in the result the work creates: clarity, healing, growth, confidence, or opportunity.
Small transformations have ripple effects in the world. By improving relationships, career paths, finances, or well-being—the benefits extends far beyond the time spent delivering the service. They go out into the family, the community and cycle through future generations.
Underpricing does not make you easier to hire. It makes clients question your worth. Those who truly value your work will also respect your pricing.
Practical Pricing Strategies
Clients will pay your price without blinking if you understand these 3 principles of the psychology of pricing:
Rule 1: Anchoring effect. The first number you mention becomes the reference point for everything after, so always start with your largest offer. Show your $3,000 package before your $800 one, and the $800 suddenly feels reasonable
Rule 2: Charm pricing. You've seen pricing that ends in 99, 97, or 95 because it makes something feel slightly less expensive. However, for premium 1:1 services, round numbers signal confidence and professionalism.
Rule 3: The Veblen effect. For certain services, demand goes up as price goes up, because the price itself is the signal of quality. If you’re scared to raise your price, you might be scaring away the exact clients who’d trust you more for it
A feng shui consultation isn’t just about rearranging a room. Marketing strategy isn’t just a content plan.Coaching isn’t just a conversation. Each one creates a shift that continues long after the session ends.
Setting Healthy Boundaries
You can protect your energy not just with sacred reciprocal pricing. Create offers and boundaries that honor both the practitioner and the client, and create sustainable, values-aligned work instead of constantly performing for systems that demand constant output.
Clear admin policies help protect the time, energy, and resources that go into creating your offerings.

“When you undervalue what you do, the world will undervalue who you are.”
Oprah Winfrey
"My pricing is based on three things: the practical value of the transformation I deliver, the amount required for me to sustain my best work, and the subtle wisdom of the quantum arts. This way, every transaction is a reciprocal and aligned energy exchange that supports both of us in the highest way possible.”
Affirm: The integrity, nurturing and goodwill I give always comes back to me. I am seen, heard, and held.
Conscious Energy Exchange
Your pricing isn't just a number on the books. Your exchange is more than just a transaction. With each choice and project you give your attention, care, compassion, and depth. And that deserves to come back to you.
When pricing reflects both practical sustainability and energetic intention, becomes a mutually supportive flow of energy so that you and your business can thrive long-term.
